Carson City arrests: Man jailed, allegedly rips security camera from residence
A 37-year-old Carson City man was arrested Wednesday for misdemeanor suspicion of destruction of property and a violation of Department of Alternative Sentencing conditions.
The man allegedly ripped a security camera from a wall at a residence. Video footage showed the man walking up to a residence, and then ripped a camera off the wall causing the video feed to cut out.
The suspect is on Carson City Alternative Sentencing. He emitted a strong odor of alcohol and refused a preliminary breath test. He was arrested at 10:40 p.m. for suspicion of destruction of property and violation of department of alternative sentencing conditions. Bail: $3,622.
— A 40-year-old Carson City woman was arrested Wednesday, 7:47 a.m. for misdemeanor suspicion of DUI, failure to maintain a lane and driving with suspended registration.
According to the arrest report, deputies were called at 7:20 a.m. to a vehicle crash near the intersection of Colorado Street and Fieldcrest Drive.
The suspected driver had failed to maintain a lane, crashing into a parked car. Deputies on scene suspected the woman was under the influence or drugs or alcohol, the arrest report states.
She had red, bloodshot eyes, and slow, thick slurred speech. She emitted an odor of alcohol from her person. A deputy asked if she had been drinking. She stated she had a Steel Reserve that morning, the arrest report states.
The deputy requested the woman submit to field sobriety testing, in which she showed signs of impairment. She provided a preliminary breath test of .342 and was arrested. Bail: $1,336.
— A 27-year-old Carson City man was arrested early Thursday for criminal intent following a fight in the downtown area.
Deputies were called to East Telegraph Street regarding a fight in progress. Officers made contact with the suspect who stated he and his friend got into an altercation.
While speaking, the officer detected an odor of alcohol coming from his person. He stated he had two beers. Dispatched advised the man is on court monitored supervision with conditions not to consume alcohol or drugs. He agreed to a preliminary breath test with a result of .138. Bail: $1,000.
