Trick or Treating will continue as planned Friday, Oct. 30 in Carson City; other spooky events announced
Before COVID-19 hit the capital city, Trick or Treating had been changed to Friday, Oct. 30 since the Nevada Day Parade was falling on Oct. 31 this year.
Despite the parade being cancelled, Trick or Treating is still going to be held Oct. 30 at this time, unless otherwise directed by Nevada Governor Steve Sisolak.
Here are some other spooky events happening in Carson City to get you in the Halloween spirit! Check back for updates as we will continue to update the list as new events are announced.
Thursday, Oct. 29
— The fourth annual Carson City ‘Boo-nanza’ will look a little different this year. Instead of the traditional community center event, the Boonanza will be held as a drive-thru event at the Centennial Sports Complex on Thursday, Oct. 29. For more details on the event click here.
Friday, Oct. 30
— Ghost Train: Carson City Railroad Association and Wild Horse Productions are presenting Ghost Train on Oct. 30 and 31. Tickets will go on sale Oct. 1 and will cost $5 per rider. There are two time slots for the ride: From 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. there will be “Alice in Halloweenland” which will be family friendly and open to all ages. From 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. there will be “Alice in Nightmareland” which is open to ages 13 and up. To reserve your ticket, go to http://www.wildhorsetheater.com beginning on Oct. 1.
