American Century Championship at Lake Tahoe tickets available at Raley's

PRESS RELEASE — Grocery shoppers can now add Charles Barkley, Michael Jordan, Tim Tebow and Ray Romano to the basket at their neighborhood Raley’s, Bel-Air and Nob Hill Foods supermarkets. Discounted tickets are now available to the American Century Championship at Edgewood Tahoe Golf Course, July 12 – 17, 2011.

Tickets are available at 127 locations throughout Northern California and Nevada through July 17. Stores will offer daily tickets to rounds on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, July 15, 16 and 17, at a discounted rate of $22 (regularly $25); or $18 with a grocery purchase of $50 or more at their checkout areas. Tickets are also sold online at www.TahoeSouth.com, www.TahoeCelebrityGolf.com and at the gate. The Lake Tahoe Celebrity-Amateur on Tuesday, July 12, practice round on Wednesday, July 13 and the American Century Celebrity-Am on Thursday, July 14 are $15 per day. Tournament rounds on Friday, Saturday and Sunday are $25 per day. Season Passes to the event, good for every day of the tournament, are $60.

The American Century Championship player roster includes well known sports and entertainment legends Michael Jordan, Charles Barkley, Tony Romo, Ray Romano, John Elway, Jerry Rice, Kevin Nealon and more. Newcomers this year include 2011 College Basketball Player of the Year Jimmer Fredette, Denver Broncos quarterback Tim Tebow, former Major League Baseball pitchers John Smoltz, Greg Maddox, Andy Pettitte and film and television actor Rob Morrow. The field of 82 players will raise charity funds for the LIVESTRONG® Foundation’s fight against cancer.

The American Century Championship has become an international attraction through its exposure on NBC Sports and annually attracts 35,000+ spectators. It is nationally televised on both NBC and ESPN 2 each summer and annually more than 30,000 spectators attend the tournament each year.
