Applications sought for three Carson City Planning Commission seats
Residents of Carson City interested in serving between 12 to 16 hours a month on the Carson City Planning Commission are encouraged to apply for three open positions.
The Carson City Board of Supervisors is seeking applications from residents interested in serving on the Commission, which oversees all Carson City planning and zoning matters, land use and growth management. Meetings are the last Wednesday of every month at 5 p.m., at the Community Center in the Sierra Room.
There are three openings, two for four year terms to expire June, 2014 and one to fill a term to expire June, 2012.
The Board of Supervisors will appoint qualified persons to the Commission who are residents and registered voters of Carson City.

Supervisors are also seeking applications from residents interested in serving on the Carson City Wildlife Advisory Board. The Committee manages wildlife matters within Carson City. The meetings vary
in number, usually with the onset of Fishing and Hunting seasons, and could be up to six
hours a month. There is one opening for a 3 year term, expiring July 2013.
The Board of Supervisors shall appoint a qualified person who is a resident and registered voter of Carson City and is a:
— Sportsman; or
— Engaged in ranching or farming in the county.
Applications will be accepted until June 15.
