Tahoe South springs forward with a foot of new snow, races and concerts in the pipeline
Lake Tahoe South launches into spring with more than a foot of fresh powder falling on area ski resorts: Heavenly, Sierra-at-Tahoe and Kirkwood this past weekend with additional accumulation occurring on Monday afternoon and evening. Sunny skies and clear roads are in the forecast for the remainder of the week.
“The recent snowfall is perfect timing as we head into one of the most popular months of ski season with spring breakers flocking to South Shore,” said Carol Chaplin, executive director of the Lake Tahoe Visitors Authority. “We’re looking forward to an action-packed remainder of the season with activities and events both on and off the slopes.”
