Carson City crews to assess flood damage over next several days
The latest atmospheric river system having moved out of the area late Friday afternoon, the Carson City Emergency Operations Center (EOC) has closed its operation, a press release from the Municipality of Carson City said.
Damage assessment teams, however, will continue their work throughout the week.
"We encourage drivers to exercise caution as debris in the roadway can be hazardous," the EOC said in a statement. "Please be watchful of City crews working as they continue to mitigate and assess storm damage and actively work to resolve road closures."
Residents should call 9-1-1 for emergencies, the EOC said, as the local flood hot line is no longer operational for the recent flood event.
