Suspect who stole purse, credit cards from car at daycare center sought by Carson City detectives
UPDATE: A credible tip surfaced Thursday afternoon regarding the suspect vehicle, a sheriff's office detective said. The vehicle is a tan or beige 2010-2012 Mercedes SUV, with dark tinted windows. The vehicle was without a front license plate and its back plate is possibly California. The vehicle circled the daycare parking lot multiple times, where the suspect then is believed to have parked across the street before entering the victim's vehicle.

The Carson City Sheriff's Office Investigations Division is asking for the public's help in identifying a male suspect wanted in connection to the theft of a purse, credit cards and phone that happened Thursday morning at an East John Street child care center.
At around 7:50 a.m. the suspect stole the victim's purse, phone and keys from their vehicle parked at the daycare center. Carson City sheriff's investigators tracked the phone, keys and purse, minus the credit cards, to the McDonald's on Winnie Lane, where they were located in the trash.
The victim's credit cards were used later at Walgreens on South Virginia Street in Reno, as seen in this surveillance photo above. (Click on photo to enlarge.) The suspect was possibly driving a brown SUV but that hasn't been confirmed. The suspect was believed to be seen in the parking lot across from the daycare center shortly before the theft.
