CARSON CITY — The Nevada Department of Motor Vehicles will hold town hall meetings at four DMV offices across the state on Wednesday, Feb. 26, to help residents learn about Real ID requirements for travelers that will go into effect this fall.

CARSON CITY — On the heels of an incredibly successful 2019 season and due to popular demand, V&T Railway has begun early ticket sale booking for the 2020 season. As with prior seasons, the 2020 season will include vintage steam train rides from Carson City to Virginia City, Toast of the Canyon wine and beer trains and the popular Polar Express in addition to other themed and special event trains.

The Carson City Sheriff’s Office Investigation Division is attempting to identify two suspects involved in an incident where one pointed a firearm at a customer at the Quik Stop convenience store at 3006 North Roop Street in Carson City.

The Carson City Sheriff’s Office is requesting the public’s assistance in attempting to locate a runaway juvenile, Reuben Angel, 16, last seen on Feb. 4 at a counseling meeting in Carson City.

The Carson City Symphony, directed by David Bugli, will present the first of four “LatinXpressions” concerts on Sunday, Feb. 23, at 4 p.m., at the Carson City Community Center's Bob Boldrick Theater, 851 E. Three people are in custody Sunday afternoon following a demonstration at a Bernie Sanders rally in Carson City in which topless protestors interrupted the rally asking Sanders to stop propping up the dairy industry, according to The Nevada Independent.

A man who was stabbed after allegedly and possibly at random entered a Woodside Drive home late Saturday night has died, according to Carson City Sheriff Ken Furlong.

The Carson City Sheriff's Office is investigating a stabbing incident that happened Saturday night at a Woodside Drive residence.

At 4 p.m., a two vehicle crash was reported at Spooner Junction and Carson Street.

Injuries are unknown at this time.

A 39-year-old Carson City man was arrested in the area of Highway 50 and Brown Street after filing a false police report, accusing another person of kidnapping.

According to the report, deputies were dispatched to the scene of a vehicle that had been reported in connection with a possible kidnapping in the area of Highway 50 and Brown.
