Help Relay for Life kick-off this year’s theme during their ‘Surfing for a Cure’ Luau at the Casino Fandango; you’ll have the opportunity to sign up your team, as well. No whining allowed, just fun times, at the Governor’s Mansion during tonight’s 'Let’s Wine Together' silent auction and wine fundraiser for the Carson High Band program.

Senator Square: CHS takes another step to protect its students

In an effort to address social and emotional needs of students, CHS is presenting the SOS (Signs of Suicide) Prevention Program.
Freshman health classes were the first reached in February. The JROTC students and health science classes are next.
Free Yoga and Open House at Carson City Yoga

Both the 7:30am Mixed Level and the 9:00am Beginner Level classes are free. We will have sample classes of the various styles of yoga from our teachers. Each of these will be 20 minutes long. You're welcome to try out each class! We will be selling raffle tickets for some fun and useful prizes. Books, a yoga prop set with mat, bolster, and blanket, artwork, and more! You’ll want to register for Parent’s Night Out before all the spaces are filled. Hit the town and discover what new restaurants have popped up this last year. Enjoy live music at Living the Good Life, Bela Vita Bistro, or at the historic Genoa Bar. Teens are welcome at the Boys and Girls Club for a night of dancing, music, and a chance at raffle prizes.

St. Paul’s Lutheran Family on Saliman welcomes you to their annual Craftique Open House. You’ll find the Young at Heart Seniors Club hosting a faire at the Douglas County Community Center. The Carson Nugget’s Sierra Room will be home to several artisans, vendors, and crafters during today’s wine walk. There’s quite a bit more, and plenty that doesn’t involve shopping, so take a look and have a great time.

Raffle tickets are $1 each or 6 for $5 and a raffle drawing at 7 pm. This list of happenings in the Carson City area isn’t getting any shorter. The annual Genoa Candy Dance is a favorite among locals and visitors alike, and this weekend welcomes the first ever Silver State Arts Festival at Fuji Park, as well. The first ever Community Garage Sale at the Community Center offers one-stop bargain hunting. Swing into the season at the monthly dance party hosted by the High Sierra Swing Dance Club.
