The event begins at 6 p.m. Proceeds from this fundraiser go to Carson Middle School Band program which is raising money for new instruments, storage space, and upgraded percussion.

The ninth annual Carson High School Safe Grad Safe and Sober Run/Walk occurs at the CHS track.
And the 20th annual Feast of Chocolate, a scholarship fundraiser for the American Association of University Women (AAUW) Capital Branch, is being held at the Plaza Hotel Event Center.

The salon will provide free haircuts for veterans, activity duty and first responders, plus they can find help locating available services. Event runs through 3 p.m. today, Sunday, November 4.

Twisted Scizzors hair salon in Carson City to host weekend 'Kutz for Heroes' event

The salon will provide free haircuts for veterans, activity duty and first responders. Proceeds to benefit Red, White and Blue Dog Tags.
The Saturday, Nov. 3 event is from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. There will be a 9 a.m. grand opening ceremony with Color Guard. Shelby Jackson will perform the National Anthem.

Take full advantage of your free time and check out some of today’s activities. Live music at McFadden Plaza tonight features local cover band, Deception. The Bowers Mansion Bluegrass Festival kicks off tonight with a band in the Davis Creek Campground. The U.S. Air Force’s Jazz Ensemble performs at the Bob Boldrick Theater as part of the Jazz and Beyond Music Festival. Free tickets have been available at the Chamber of Commerce for a few weeks, and if any are left, their numbers will be limited.

Car lovers are in for a treat: you can head down to the Carson Mall for their monthly cruise night, or roll into the Max Casino to get registered for the 33rd annual Run Whatcha Brung Car Show. The Trippin King Snakes take the stage in McFadden Plaza for a free all-ages show. Break a leg to the kids of Youth Theater Carson City; they open their production of ‘Bye, Bye, Birdie’ at the Community Center this evening.
