Comment period on new draft plan for Anaconda mine in Lyon County begins Aug. 20
Submitted by Jeff Munson on Thu, 08/13/2020 - 3:12pmOn August 20, 2020, the Nevada Division of Environmental Protection’s Bureau of Corrective Actions will be opening the public comment period for its Draft Proposed Plan: Operable Unit 8 (OU-8) Peripheral Areas located within the Anaconda Copper Mine Site in Lyon County. The public comment period will remain open through September 19, 2020.
Carson City's 'Bank Saloon' announces local restauranteur as new operator for the historic, long-awaited bar

The bar, which is scheduled to open in October 2020, has undergone extensive renovations since it was purchased by the Builders Alliance in 2018. The meeting, which will take place in the Sierra Room of the Community Center located at 851 E. William Street, will decide on how the reopening of the new school year will go in Carson City Schools.
