Along with libraries across the country, the Carson City Library will be celebrating Banned Books Week (Sept. 22-28) with a special event to thank authors whose work has been prohibited or challenged.
Capital City Arts Initiative debuts 'Constellation' exhibit

Nine students from the University of Nevada Reno’s Bachelor of Fine Arts program have work in the exhibit. The free exhibition is available to the public from Sept. 16 to Dec. 10, 2019, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to noon and 1 to 4 p.m.

Carson Rifle and Pistol Club Rifle Match
Submitted by Carson Now Reader on Sun, 06/30/2019 - 4:18pmThe Carson Rifle and Pistol Club will hold two rifle matches Saturday, July 6th at the Carson Rifle and Pistol Range. The first match will be a Mini-Palma, followed by a Vintage Military Rifle match.
The Mini-Palma is a 100 yard .22 rimfire rifle match. The course of fire is 45 shots in three stages, from either prone position or bench, slow fire. Suitable for most 22 rifles, either iron-sighted or scoped. Click here for a full description of this event.
