Carson City, statewide gaming revenue loss shows sharp contrast after March 18 casino shutdown

With the shutdown of casinos across Nevada on March 18, gaming revenue took the expected hit for the month, down 43.2 percent for Carson City area casinos and down nearly 40 percent statewide, according to figures released Wednesday by the Nevada Gaming Control Board.

According to the report, Jenna Noelle Hix was arrested following a report of two young children screaming for their mother just before 2 a.m. The reporting party stated they were unsure if the mother of the children was home.

A 33-year-old Carson City man suffering a mental health episode was arrested in the area of N Carson Street and W. Winnie Street for repeatedly calling 911.

According to the report, the man was arrested after he called 911 stating that his PTSD medication was out and that he wanted to go to Mallory, but he did not want to kill himself.
