Carson City deputies arrest mental health subject for repeatedly calling 911
A 33-year-old Carson City man suffering a mental health episode was arrested in the area of N Carson Street and W. Winnie Street for repeatedly calling 911.
According to the report, the man was arrested after he called 911 stating that his PTSD medication was out and that he wanted to go to Mallory, but he did not want to kill himself.
On scene, deputies met with the man who stated his PTSD medicine was out and he wanted to go to Mallory to be stabilized, but that they had no room for him. Deputies offered to give him a ride to the hospital, but he did not want to go with the deputies or the fire department. He said he was afraid of people who might hurt him.
Deputies asked if they could call him a cab, which he agreed to.
Deputies put the man in a cab and cleared the scene.
However, approximately 15 minutes later, dispatch advised the man called again from the same address and sounded out of breath.
Deputies went to the address but couldn’t find the man. Several 911 calls came in that the man had knocked on their doors, and that he was now in the middle of an intersection screaming.
Deputies arrived on scene and arrested him for unlawful use of 911, a gross misdemeanor.
Bail: $5,000

Deputies made contact with the woman and asked about calling the emergency numbers. Another deputy told the deputies on scene she could be arrested for misusing the emergency lines, as she had been warned earlier in the day to not misuse them.
Deputies were told she might be suffering from a mental health episode.
Deputies asked if she had anything on her person before they arrested her. She said she had a small bag of dope in her bag. She said it was speed.

Deputies responded to a local auto parts store and met with the store auditor, who stated during an audit of fuel costs he located several fuel purchases for premium gasoline. The store’s vehicles are only supposed to have regular fuel purchased for them.
The auditor then determined the man had been using the company gas card to put fuel in his personal vehicle, and the man had admitted to doing so “three to four times.”
It was then determined during the audit that he had done so nine times between Jan. 6 and Feb. 26, which the man agreed to in writing. The total was for $97.49.
Deputies spoke with the man, who admitted to using the funds for his personal vehicle via the company gas card.
