CARSON CITY — The Carson Nugget is pleased to announce that we will be opening a new bar on the main casino floor called the Lucky 7 Bar. The Lucky 7 Bar will be a full service vodka themed slot bar with specialty vodka drinks, draft beer, and a margarita machine. There will be 24 seats including a lounge, and 14 new bar-top slot machines.

We are hosting a job fair on Tuesday, June 25, 2019 from 2 to 5 p.m. to fill beverage positions as well as other positions casino-wide. All levels of experience are invited to attend the event which takes place in the Events Center on the 2nd floor in Room B of the casino on N. Carson Street.

A 31-year-old man was arrested Sunday for felony possession of a stolen vehicle and drug charges after he was found at a gas station filling up his tank, a Carson City sheriff's deputy said.

Heading into Father’s Day weekend, there's plenty of jam-packed activities around the Carson City region. There's Flag Day ceremonies at the Nevada Veterans Memorial and at the Elks Lodge. When families come to the Ron Wood Family Resource Center in Carson City, they are typically in desperate conditions.

“We see 80 percent of our clients in the last couple of weeks of the month,” explained Joyce Buckingham, executive director. “They have reached the end of their SNAP benefits or their social security or other benefits.”

A 57-year-old Carson City man was arrested Monday morning in the area of North Roop and Hot Springs Road for battery, a Carson City sheriff's deputy said.

A 31-year-old Carson City man was arrested Saturday in the 2700 block of Sherman Lane for suspicion of possession of methamphetamine, a felony, and five misdemeanor offenses.

A 39-year-old Carson City man was arrested Tuesday for felony suspicion of possession of stolen property and obtaining money under false pretenses after allegedly selling a saw to the victim of a burglary after the victim discovered the equipment for sale on a social media site, a sheriff's deputy said.

As we head into Tuesday, May 21, 2019 there seems to be some debate brewing about the weather. Is the persistent series of cold weather systems normal or not? We spoke with a forecaster from the National Weather Service about it and he noted that everyone has an opinion. Some folks swear this happens every Spring, storm after relentless storm through the entire month of May. A 38-year-old man was arrested Sunday, 10:53 a.m. in the area of Silver Sage and Briarwood Drive for misdemeanor suspicion of DUI drugs and driving with suspended registration, a sheriff's deputy said.

A 36-year-old transient man was arrested at the Carson City Aquatic Center after throwing rocks through the windows. He was arrested for failing to register as an ex-felon, destruction of city property, and disorderly conduct.

Deputies responded to the Aquatic Center Thursday just after 5 pm for a report of a man throwing rocks through the windows of the center.

Two were arrested Monday in the area of Imperial Way and West Nye Lane for drug possession and other charges, a Carson City sheriff's deputy said.
