It all started, like so many other events in history, after tossing back a few beers, away back in 490 B.C.

Gabe has recently fallen ill with fungal pneumonia. His transplant medications make it difficult for him to fight everyday viruses let alone a relentless fungal infection. This is a fight they can win but it will be a long battle.

Annual Carson City Christmas Tree Lighting, Silver and Snowflakes Festival, happening tonight

The Silver and Snowflakes Festival has been the official beginning of the holiday season for years, with the lighting of the great Christmas tree on Capitol grounds. Keep an eye out for Santa Claus, the Grinch, Max the dog, and Carson City's 5th graders who will be singing their hearts out while the tree is lit!
Carson City deputies make arrests for protection order violation, multiple DUIs

According to an arrest report, deputies responded late Sunday evening to a West Nye Lane apartment for a report of a man and woman arguing, yelling and screaming and a woman crying.
Nevada Builders Foundation raises $3,870 for scholarships at Nevada Day parade

Bill died peacefully at home in hospice care surrounded by loved ones.

Thank you U.S. Veterans for your service to our great country. There are a number of organized happenings in the region, including parades in Virginia City and Reno, as well as events in South Lake Tahoe and Sparks. Plus a number of Carson City and Carson Valley restaurants are offering no cost meals as a gesture of gratitude to veterans and active duty military members. Also Monday is a discussion on homeless issues with local advocate and champion for those who are often without a voice, Dee Dee Foremaster.
