The show goes on for 'White Christmas' this weekend at Carson City Community Center
Last week I wrote that I was the only spectator at the Friday night opening of the Western Musical Comedy production of "White Christmas."
Of course, that was because the show didn't open until Saturday. But I stayed through the first act and reported that all was fine, music stirring, cast excellent and Stephanie Arrigotti's direction made everything move like clock work.
I went back to catch Act 2 and it was even better than Act 1. It's being presented at the Carson City Community Center and continuing weekends through Nov. 21.
Director-producer Arrigotti has been bringing shows to our stage for years now and the they are so good that visitors come from as far as the Bay Area to enjoy the action. Shows start at 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday and Sunday matinees are at 2:30 p.m. with a special matinee Saturday at 2 p.m.
Tickets are $20 general admission, $18 for students and seniors and$16 for youths 17 and under. (775) Call 445-4249.
Second Act is where the real action begins as Bob and Phil headline the show on the barn and save their old commanding general's inn. And of course, we get to hear the Irving Berlin "White Christmas" a second time. No problem, it's a classic and we'll hearing it a lot soon.
Now I've got to go back and watch both acts in one night. No problem, it's great fun.
