Carson City man arrested in alleged burglary, accused of punching jail inmate
A 28-year-old Carson City man who was arrested for felony suspicion of burglary on Monday also faces a felony charge of battery by a prisoner after an incident Tuesday at the Carson City Jail.
Adrian Gilbert Hernandez was taken into custody Monday for suspicion of burglary. According to the arrest report, deputies were called to investigate a residential burglary in progress in the 400 block of West Winnie Lane.
The suspect allegedly entered into a home and challenged occupants to a fight while demanding money, according to the arrest report. Hernandez was located walking northbound near North Carson Street and Winnie Lane. He was taken into custody for suspicion of burglary.
On Tuesday at around 5:13 p.m. jail deputies investigated an incident in which Hernandez allegedly punched an inmate in the face with a closed fist. According to the deputy report and review of video, the punch broke the victim inmates' glasses and knocked him into a bench on the floor. Bail: $20,000 for the burglary charge and $20,000 for the battery by a prisoner charge.

— A 28-year-old Carson City man was arrested Tuesday, in the 1100 block of Woodside Drive for misdemeanor probation violation.
Deputies were called to the area to investigate a traffic crash. A suspect was identified though was not seen involved in the crash, though his vehicle was involved.
Deputies located the man, who had red watery eyes and a strong odor of alcohol coming from his person. A records check showed he had a revoked license for DUI in August of this year. Dispatch further advised he was under Alternative Sentencing for DUI with a condition not to drink. The man provided a preliminary breath test of .182 and was arrested for alternative sentencing violation of conditions. Bail: $3,000.
— A 37-year-old Carson City woman was booked into jail on a misdemeanor contempt of court warrant issued August 15, 2019 out of Carson City Justice Court. Bail: $500.
— A 44-year-old Carson City woman was arrested Tuesday, 3:44 p.m. in the 800 block of North Carson Street for a misdemeanor failure to appear warrant issued July 2, 2019 out of Carson City Justice Court. Bail: $1,595.
— A 24-year Carson City man was arrested Wednesday, 10:05 p.m. in the 4000 block of Pheasant Drive for a misdemeanor warrant issued out of Pershing County. Bail: $320.
