Teenage girl struck by vehicle on Roop and Evalyn taken by CareFlight
UPDATE: A Carson City teenage girl was the victim in a pedestrian accident at Roop and Evalyn streets near Governor's Field early Tuesday night, authorities said. The girl, believed to be 16 or 17, was flown by Care Flight to Renown Medical Center in Reno. Her condition is unknown.
The driver, a man who was getting off work, struck the girl as she was walking through the crosswalk, said Carson City Sheriff's Office Sgt. Earl Mays. The driver was traveling in the southbound lane at a low rate of speed, approximately 10 to 15 mph, when he struck the girl, walking westbound in the crosswalk, said Mays. The driver has been cited.

Carson City fire and rescue personnel responded early Tuesday evening to an accident involving a pedestrian at Roop and Evalyn streets near the Governor's Field entrance.
A Care Flight helicopter has transported the victim to Renown Medical Center in Reno. The accident was reported at 5:21 p.m.
The condition of the victim is unknown at this time. Traffic at the scene of the accident was re-routed by Carson City sheriff's deputies and cleared at 5:55 p.m.
