Annual Carson City 'Pooch Plunge' Pool Party returns this Saturday
Carson City's annual Pooch Plunge Pool Party is back this Saturday, Sept. 22. Before the outside pool at the Carson City Aquatic Center is drained for the season, furry four legged (or three legged) friends are asked to come and enjoy a day of doggy paddling, tennis balls and Frisbee throws.
Hosted by the Carson Animal Services Initiative (CASI), the annual pool party is a blast for dogs and dog parents alike. As a plus, proceeds go to supporting Critter Fixer, CASI's low cost spay and neuter voucher program.
From 9-10 am, little dogs and dogs with disabilities who need a calmer crowd will have the pool to themselves. From 10 am-3 pm, the pool is open to all sizes and spunkiness.
Ramps, tennis balls, frisbees, and towels will be ready for happy pooches.
The cost is $10 for the first furry participant, and $6 for each additional pal.
All dogs must be at least 6 months old, current on all their vaccinations, and friendly to all other dogs and people.
Female dogs in heat will not be allowed. Sorry, ladies!
Registration forms for each pet at check in are required.
