Pirates take the Plaza in Carson City Saturday
Tomorrow, Saturday Sept. 8, Bob McFadden Plaza in downtown Carson City will be captured by the Pirates of Reno for a full day of dastardly, family-friendly activities beginning at 11 a.m.
Face painting, buried treasure, pirate games, a best-dressed pirate costume contest, and more will be found.
They will also be doing a black powder shooting on the hour to keep it piratey.
Bring doubloons (or dollars, if you’re fresh out of pirate gold) to trade for treasure while donating to the homeless!
Bob McFadden Plaza is located at 223 W. Third Street in downtown Carson City, between Carson and Curry.
Storytime Photography will be there to document the festivities.
Movie in the Plaza night will follow hosted by the Carson City Classic Cinema Club, showing Treasure Island. The movie is set to begin between 7:45 and 8 pm, depending on the sun.
