Carson City arrests: Man jailed for alleged home invasion and burglary
A 26-year-old Carson City man was arrested Wednesday for suspicion of felony home invasion and burglary after allegedly kicking in the door of a neighbor’s apartment, a Carson City sheriff’s deputy said.
Eric Kaon Neal Jr., was taken into custody at 10:50 a.m. in the 2500 block of North Carson Street.
According to the arrest report, deputies were called to the area for a residential burglary in progress. The suspect allegedly kicked the door in to get at his wife who was in a neighboring apartment with her female friend and co-worker.
The female neighbor told a deputy that they locked out the man, who she said broke through and attempted to go after her, but was stopped by the man’s wife, the arrest report states.
The man denied having kicked the door in and did not know how the damages to the apartment happened. He did, however, admit to the dispute with his wife. He refused to write a written statement.
He was arrested for suspicion of burglary and home invasion. Bail: $45,000.
— A 23-year-old Reno man, Alfredo Edwardo Valdez, was booked into Carson City Jail at 7 p.m. for two felony warrants alleging attempted murder with a deadly weapon and battery with a deadly weapon causing substantial bodily harm. There was also a misdemeanor warrant alleging second offense domestic battery. Bail: $80,000.
— A 27-year-old Kent, Wash., man, Tristen Renee Watson, was booked into custody Wednesday for a felony Nevada parole retake warrant. He’s being held without bail in lieu of a hearing.
— A 23-year-old Carson City man, Mikal Eugene Washington, was arrested Wednesday, 12:16 a.m. for a felony parole and probation hold and a misdemeanor failure to appear warrant for battery issued out of Reno justice court.
According to the arrest report, deputies were dispatched to the 1300 block of North Carson Street for a verbal domestic dispute and a report that the man had warrants. Washington is being held without bail in lieu of a hearing.
— A 29-year-old transient, David Erin Baxley, was arrested Wednesday, 5:33 p.m. in the area of Arrowhead and Goni for two felony warrants issued in January and March 2017 and a failure to appear traffic warrant issued in January. He’s being held without bail in lieu of a hearing.
— A 38-year-old Carson City man was arrested Wednesday, 7:25 p.m. in the area of John and Stewart streets for suspicion of misdemeanor DUI, and no proof of insurance.
According to the arrest report, deputies were called to the area for a report of a truck that ran off the roadway, striking a power pole and a brick wall.
Deputies arrived and spoke with the driver who was sitting on the sidewalk. He was screened by medics for injuries and refused medical transport.
Deputies observed the man showed signs of intoxication. He was asked if he had been drinking. The man admitted to having two shots of Jameson and a beer. He stated he drove eastbound on John Street and turned southbound on Stewart Street, and lost control of his vehicle and ran off the road.
He agreed to participate in standardized field sobriety tests and showed signs of impairment. He provided a preliminary breath sample of .200 and was arrested. At jail he provided evidentiary breath samples of .181 and .185. He could also not provide proof of insurance. Bail: $1,874.
— A 45-year-old Carson City man was arrested Wednesday, 6:33 p.m. in the 3200 block of North Carson Street for a misdemeanor warrant alleging battery. The warrant was issued March 13, 2017 out of Carson City Justice Court. Bail: $1,000.
