GNCU Supports Carson High Safe Grad; more than $1,900 in donations raised
Greater Nevada Credit Union presented Carson High School’s Parent Teacher Student Association with a $1,940 check toward the PTSA’s annual Safe Grad event.
Julie Slocum, PTSA Safe Grad Volunteer Coordinator and GNCU Educational Branch Coordinator, accepted the donation Thursday at the GNCU Educational Branch on the CHS campus.
“A special fundraising campaign was held in GNCU’s Carson City branch locations from mid-April through mid-May,” said Julie. “GNCU agreed to match donations raised dollar-for-dollar, up to $500 total. Community residents responded to this effort in support of a program that keeps recently-graduated high school seniors safe and sober.”
CHS Safe Grad includes a night of fun activities, games, dancing, raffles and more. This graduation celebration is scheduled for Saturday, May 31, at the Carson City Community Center.
