I Say Nevada, The Government Bailout Edition
"I Say Nevada, The Government Bailout Edition," opens at the Brewery Arts Center in Carson City Oct. 22. No one is safe from this hilarious romp across the great state of Nevada.
From the brilliant mind of local author and musician Bob Reid, the production rocks the foundations of the capitol dome. Directed by BACPAC's Karen Chandler, this musical sketch comedy lampoons the politics and the culture of the Silver State and is perfectly timed for pre-election fun as well as Nevada Day.
Critics praised the original version, calling it a “wowser of the first stripe” and “right on the button with its satire”. The new Government Bailout Edition delivers as well with the current political environment providing the writer and actors with plenty of great material.
The show opens October 22nd in the Brewery Arts Center’s Maizie Harris Jesse Theatre. Performances are October 22nd, 23rd, 29th, 30th at 7:30pm and October 31st at 2pm. Tickets are $18.00 for general admission and $15.00 for students, seniors and BAC members.
The Brewery Arts Center is Carson City’s premier performing and visual arts center. The nonprofit, member funded center is committed to presenting and promoting art, arts programming and cultural events to the residents of Carson City and the surrounding area.
