Downtown Wine Walk

Start July off with a bang, and some wine. With a four-day holiday weekend, you’ll find many things throughout the area to compete for your attention, but there’s no fun like the Downtown Business Association’s monthly Downtown Wine Walk. The festivities begin at 1 p.m. Saturday, July 1. Grab a wine glass, map, and hand stamp and you will have until 5 p.m. to hit as many stops as possible before the raffle begins.

I suspect this last week of June will just fly by. Before you know it, you’ll see the annual Fourth of July Carnival setting up in Mills Park. Make plans now for the monthly downtown Wine Walk on Saturday; it’s always a fun time. Don’t think you’ve got to wait for the weekend for some fun, though. You’ll find live music, karaoke, art, and dancing most every day, so you’ll have plenty of opportunities to take a break from the work week.

The Nevada Arts Council, the Adams Hub for Innovation, and the Carson City Visitors Bureau invite you to an 'ARTrepreneur' Pop-Up Gallery Event on Saturday, June 3 from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. in the Adams Hub for Innovation at 111 W Proctor Street (entrance at corner of Curry Street.)

What a great start to March. A few days on sunshine under our belt and now it’s wine walk weekend. With fingers crossed, the weather should hold out until it’s over, but be prepared for some wind. The Shrine Circus is in Reno, Girl Scout Cookies are on sale, and we inch closer to the longer days and shorter nights of Spring. You’ll find something for everyone this weekend, whether looking for fun with friends, your little ones, or your special someone. Take a look, and have a great weekend Carson City.

The Downtown Business Association’s monthly Wine Walk pays no heed to what the weather serves up, and this Saturday has rain on the menu. Bundle up, grab an umbrella and your friends, and brave the weather for this fun event.

Zephyrus Brass Quintet will perform at the Brewery Arts Center Ballroom, 449 W King Street, Carson City, on Saturday, Jan. 7, from 2 to 4 p.m. The live music is part of the Carson City Downtown Business Association Wine Walk, to be held that day from 1 to 5 p.m.

It’s the perfect season for a stroll downtown and the monthly Downtown Business Association’s monthly Wine Walk gives you a great reason. Grab your friends, neighbors, and a light jacket for this Carson City tradition.

Where has the time gone? We are moments away from Labor Day weekend with its Best of the West Rib Cook-off, monthly Downtown Wine Walk, Fallon Cantaloupe Festival, and Virginia City’s Civil War Days. Enjoy a walk in the Ronald D. Wilson Memorial Park, just west of Emerson Drive. Canyon White, the award-winning singer-songwriter, can be found at her weekly gig at Living the Good Life joined by Keith Alan Barnett. Summer is moving right along. We are days away from the Fourth of July weekend: fireworks, the Downtown wine walk, a carnival at Mills Park, and Wildhorse Children’s Theater's production of Aladdin, Jr. Weekdays in Carson City aren’t shirking their duties though, as there is plenty to do today. Learn some swing dance moves at El Charro Avita or go for a walk with the Parks and Recreation Department. Singer-songwriter, Canyon White, entertains at Living the Good Life. For those with a skewed sense of humor: Mystery Science Theater 3000 makes an appearance at Galaxy Theater tonight.

The Cavalry is coming to Carson City this Saturday, April 2 from 1 to 4 p.m. Nevada Day Inc. Presents, History Alive Street Theatre. Come and enjoy a "Sneak Peek" into Nevada Day Inc.'s History Alive Street Theatre Shows. The shows will be held on the first Saturday of each month during Wine Walk.

The Nevada Day Store and Trading Post features many fine art Photographers and this Saturday we are showcasing some of “The Shadow and Light Photographers” beautiful work.

This group was started by Fine Art Photographer, Dennis Doyle on Facebook. It is giving photographers of every level a place where all can share their work and learn from one another. They post and share and when asked, constructive criticism is also given and appreciated.

It’s the first weekend of the year, and so it’s time for the downtown wine walk. The monthly tradition is a great way to meet others from around town. Kids will want to head to the Community Center for the Elks Lodge Hoop Shoot. The best shooters in the state will advance to the national competition in Chicago for a chance at scholarship money.

Start Saturday, Dec. 5 off with the Downtown Business Association’s monthly wine walk, and stick around for the first ‘Holiday with a Hero’ Holiday Crawl.
