Due Sorella (fondly known as Two Sisters) will be holding its 2nd Annual Vintage Fall Harvest Faire Oct. 4 from 9am-4pm in the parking lot behind the store at 202 N. Curry St. Carson City during the Downtown Wine Walk. Farm-fresh produce, Vintage Vendors, Antiques, Arts, Crafts, Food, and music will take over the corner of Musser St. and Nevada St. Some vendors already committed include Capital Eats, Workman Farms, Vintage Becky M, and Miss Maggy's Stuff.

The store is open Tuesday-Saturdays 11am-5pm and features unique and vintage gifts, crafts, and a rabbit named Sweet Pea.

The July 4 holiday weekend has arrived and there are plenty of activities going on today through the weekend around Carson City.

The Nevada Rural Counties RVSP carnival runs through the weekend at Mills Park. Tonight RSVP will host a spectacular fireworks celebration over Carson City to go along with its 22nd annual holiday carnival.

It's that time again. Celebrate the new year in Carson City with a sip of fine wine and a stroll through downtown today from 1 to 5 p.m.

Ice skating for the kids at Arlington Square Ice Rink across from the Carson Nugget and wine stops in downtown Carson City are on tap today.

The Carson City Downtown Business Association says that even though it's chilly outside, you can keep warm by bundling up, putting on a pair of skates or walking along the streets of downtown, where you can shop for holiday gifts (there's several gift shops and shopping opportunities throughout downtown) and sip some fine wine at any number of stops.

Featured stop on the Wine Walk: A unique art show displaying the non-skin works of art from Carson City’s finest tattoo artists at Mo and Sluggo’s Bar in Carson City, NV. Artistically INKlined 3: The Skull, will showcase the oil paintings, water color, air brush, and mixed media from 6 local shops and over 11 artists with special guest sculptor. Art INK 3 is from 1pm – 9 pm, during the October Downtown Wine Walk. The show is FREE to attend but is a fundraising event for the Brewery Arts Center’s Youth Art Programs.

Also, Alex ‘Muddy’ Smith at Purple Avocado from 2:30 to 4:30pm; and,
a Jazz Ensemble, First Take featuring Rick Metz 3 to 5pm, at Yaples Ballroom.

Brewery Arts Center, on King St. between Division and Minnesota will have their Summer Art Sale and Open House, fun, demonstrations, music, and song - an entertaining day of great art, food and drinks at the BAC... 'The teaching artists, art students, artisans, and the Nevada Artist Association Gallery artists, will have lots of new and exciting artwork for sale", Stan and Johanna Soliday will perform.

A FUNdraiser for the BAC's Summer arts program, "Diving Into The Arts" and it's Youth Art Scholarship Fund! FREE! Takes place during the June Downtown Wine Walk (and into the evening...). Music at 7 p.m. Come to Mo & Sluggo's to see and enjoy non-skin works of art from Carson City's finest tattoo artists: Flat Black Tattoo, Ruby Lantern Tattoo, Distinct Ink Tattoo, Skeleton Skin Tattoo & Hooligans Tattoo.

Local art gallery Artsy Fartsy is getting in on the Bike Month festivities with a display of tricycle art. Created by northern Nevada artists, these trikes will be for sale starting Saturday, May 4th from 12-5PM during the downtown Wine Walk. A portion of the sales will go to benefit Muscle Powered, Citizens for a Bikeable and Walkable Carson City. Here’s a look at what was parked out front of the Gallery on Friday.

Carson City Pottery will be demonstrating pottery making at Caterpillar’s Hookah Lounge on Carson Street during the Downtown Wine Walk this Saturday, May 4th , from 1-5pm.

Carson City Pottery is a school dedicated to teaching without creative restrictions, and located in the basement of the Children’s Museum of Northern Nevada in Carson City. Follow them on Facebook here.

Enjoy the acoustical sounds of Tyler Stafford, February 4th from 2 – 5pm in the Brewery Arts Center’s Artisans Store. The Reno native has been impressing audiences with his smooth voice and guitar playing talent. Stafford will perform songs from his newly released album “On a String”. The Reno Gazette Journal named it one of the 10 best albums released by area artists this year.

After gaining experience playing open mics around Reno, Stafford became a regular performer at area restaurants and bars. His musical talent, low key stage presence and good looks earned him a large following.

Downtown Carson City celebrated the start of the holiday season with the annual Silver and Snowflakes Festival of Lights.

Streets were closed off as throngs of people gathered in front of the state capitol to watch as the lights for the two giant Christmas trees were turned on.

Santa and Mrs. Claus arrived on the back of an antique fire truck, with Mayor Bob Crowell riding shotgun. After the state's trees were turned on, the crowd headed over to the First Presbyterian Church where the city's Christmas tree was turned on.

The traditional lighting of the Christmas trees – both State and City – has been on-going here in the capital city for well over 22 years. This year, Silver & Snowflakes Holiday Tree Lighting is becoming a new tradition, Silver & Snowflakes Festival of Lights and it begins on Friday evening, December 2nd.
