Carson City Humane Society's Pet of the Week: Izzy
Happy Thursday Carson City! Are you gearing up for the holiday spirit? Here's one way to celebrate: Offering an orphaned pup the gift of a new family.
Izzy is a 9-year-old lab who is currently looking for her forever home!
Izzy is currently in foster care as an Angel Pet, which means she has some health issues, but it also means that the Humane Society will cover some of her medical treatments, including all vet and medical necessities for the first year, and then they will provide her medicine at cost for the following years, which will be about $60 a month.
Izzy is a big hiker, and loves spending time outside in the hills despite her health issues. She isn't a fan of cats but loves mellow dogs and would love to go to a home where she could have a chill brother or sister.
Let's hear from Izzy herself!
"I am as sweet as they come! I do take a little time to adjust in my new home, but once I do, I am loyal and lovable. I absolutely love going on hikes and spending time with my humans. I may come with some health issues, but that doesn't slow me down. I am ready to find my forever home and give lots of love to my people! Take a chance on me, I promise you will not regret it."
If you are interested in offering a forever home to sweet Izzy, stop by the Carson City branch of the Nevada Humane Society located at 549 Airport Way.
Pet of the week is sponsored by the Carson City Senior Center. They provide services, nutrition, resources and support for seniors including Nevada Care Connection program seniors and individuals with disabilities.
