Sheriff's Log: Carson City woman jailed on suspicion of felony domestic battery

A 28-year-old Carson City woman was arrested Tuesday on suspicion of third offense felony domestic battery, a Carson City sheriff’s deputy said.

Ivy Mountain Lion was arrested at 10:08 p.m. in the 1100 block of Woodside Drive. She’s being held on $15,000 bail. According to the arrest report, officers were called to a residence after dispatch was told that a man had been struck in the face by the woman.

Upon arrival officers met with the male victim who said he had been in a dating and living relationship with the woman for eight years and have children together. He told officers that as he was watching television, they began to argue about what they were watching.

The man told officer he picked up the telephone to make a call and that’s when the woman punched him in the left side of the face, the arrest report states. The officer looked at the man’s face and could see slight swelling with the skin red around his left eye, consistent with being struck.

At around the time the officer was speaking with the victim, the woman came out of the back bedroom and began screaming. She paced back and forth, throwing her arms in the air saying “take me to jail. I know how this works,” the arrest report states.

The officer attempted to get the woman to calm down so he could speak with her. The woman continued screaming, “I hit him, take me to jail.” The officer was unable to get her to calm down and talk. She was taken into custody for domestic battery.

At jail the officer checked the woman’s criminal history. On Sept. 10, 2013 she pled guilty to domestic battery, and on March 18, 2014 she pled guilty to domestic battery. She was booked into the jail on domestic battery third offense. At jail, the officer asked the woman is she wanted to tell her side of the story.
