United Federal Credit Union cuts ribbon at second Carson City branch
United Federal Credit Union (UFCU) marked the formal opening of its newest Carson City branch with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Wednesday, November 2.
Credit union leaders were joined by community dignitaries, members and staff at the new facility, located at 935 Jacks Valley Road.
The new branch is part of a multi-phase project aimed at supporting UFCU’s planned growth in Northern Nevada.
The Jacks Valley Road branch is the second UFCU facility constructed in Carson City this year. The first, located at 1350 E. William Street, opened in April.
"Carson City prides itself as not only being the capital of Nevada, but also an active member of the Northern Nevada economy,” said Carson City Mayor Bob Crowell. “We are proud to have a branch in Carson City proper and we are proud to celebrate the opening of this new branch in Douglas County outside of the city limits. Capital assets such as this are not subject to jurisdictional boundaries and benefit all of us."
In addition to the Carson City facilities, UFCU has seven other branches in Northern Nevada, including five in Reno and two in Sparks. A new branch in Spanish Springs is currently under construction.
“We are committed to the Carson City community and its future,” said UFCU Nevada Market Vice President Danny DeLaRosa. ”We are also committed to helping members achieve their financial goals by benefiting from the personalized service and advice that make the credit union experience stand out when compared to other types of financial institutions.”
