In other arrests: A 54-year-old Carson City man, Markos Martin Williams, was arrested Thursday, 10:55 a.m. in the 3700 block of North Carson Street on suspicion of felony possession of dangerous prescription drugs without a prescription.

According to the arrest report, officers initiated a traffic stop in the 3700 block of North Carson Street. The man was stopped because it was known he did not have a valid driver’s license, the arrest report states. The man gave officers verbal permission to search his vehicle, a blue Ford pickup.

Williams was asked to empty his pockets where an Altoids breath mint tin was found. Inside the container contained Morphine, Oxycodone, Alprazolam, Depakote, and Xanax. Williams was asked about the original bottles of prescription drugs at which time he stated that he used his daily medications in the breath mint container for convenience.

Narcotics officers advised that in the recent past, Williams has sold the same type of narcotics to a confidential informant. Having had the drug history and the collection of the medication on him, he was arrested for possession of dangerous drugs without prescription. The tin also had several Altoid breath mint tablets and two alleged vitamin B-12 pills. Bail: $2,500.

According to the arrest report, a witness called dispatch to report they were following a vehicle had struck another vehicle near the intersection of North Carson Street and East Long. The witness said the driver had not stopped and drove away from the scene without attempting to make contact with the owner.

An officer observed the suspect driver on Elm Street approaching Crain Street. The officer activated his lights and siren. The man did not stop but kept on driving then pulling into a driveway on Crain Street. He stopped and exited his vehicle. The man, who had an odor of alcohol, said he did not know he had been in an accident.

The man agreed to field sobriety tests. He was asked if he had been drinking and he said he had vodka about “10 hours ago.” The arresting officer noted the man could not perform the field sobriety tests as demonstrated.
