Carson City sheriff's deputies make warrant, DUI arrests
A 22-year-old Carson City man was arrested early Tuesday for a misdemeanor failure to appear warrant, according to a sheriff's deputy booking report.
According to the arrest report, a CCSO deputy was patrolling the area of Burton Street and Peters Street at around 12:25 a.m. due to recent auto thefts in the area.
While conducting the extra patrol, the deputy observed a vehicle parked along the side of the road that was occupied by a male, who was identified through a records check. The man showed he had an active confirmed warrant for his arrest for failure to appear out of Elko County. He was arrested and transported to CCSO detention center for the warrant. Bail: $1,140.

— A 38-year-old Carson City man was arrested Sept. 16 for suspicion of DUI and speeding, sheriff's booking report states.
According to the arrest report, a deputy was traveling northbound on Carson Street near Bath and observed a Subaru traveling southbound in front of the officer. The deputy estimated the vehicle's speed at 40 mph in a 25 mph zone. A front motion radar confirmed the vehicle's speed was 41 mph. The deputy activated his emergency lights.
The vehicle came to a stop at Park and Carson streets. The officer made contact with the driver and could smell the odor of an alcoholic beverage coming from the vehicle. The driver had red watery eyes and slurred speech.
The officer asked the driver if he had been drinking. The driver advised earlier in the day. The officer asked if he would submit to standardized field sobriety tests. The man agreed and showed signs of impairment on the tests. He blew a preliminary breath test of .215 and was arrested for suspicion of DUI. Bail: $1,137.
