Carson City Sheriff's arrest log: Deputies make multiple battery arrests Saturday

A 26 year-old Carson City man was arrested Saturday morning at 3 a.m. in the 100 block of Manzanita Terrace on felony third-offense domestic battery, a Carson City Sheriff's deputy said.

Felix Edmond Carrillo was taken into custody after Sheriff's deputies responded to the area on report of a fight. The reporting party (RP) told Carson City Dispatch that a subject was trying to fight other occupants in the residence, the arrest report said.

Yelling could be heard coming from the residence once law enforcement arrived on scene. A Sheriff's deputy was contacted by the RP and led inside of the residence, where contact was made with the suspect, identified as Carrillo, who reported that he had gotten into an argument with a male family member.

Carrillo stated he was intoxicated and had wanted to engage in a more personal confrontation. He said a female family member held him back and he pushed his way through her to get to the other male.

The female involved was interviewed by law enforcement, the report said, reporting to officers that Carrillo had been very loud toward the male and intoxicated.

She stated that she had attempted to get Carrillo to quiet down and keep him separated from the male by taking him into the bedroom. As the woman tried to close the door and keep Carrillo in the room, the report said, she said he grabbed the door and placed himself in its way to keep it open.

Carrillo then reportedly pushed the woman straight back at her chest, using both hands, and she fell onto the bed. The woman's sister then blocked the way for the suspect and the woman again placed herself in front of him in an effort to prevent further altercation, the report said.

During all of this, Carrillo then reportedly grabbed a credit card out of his wallet and threw it at the other man, but striking the man's son in the forehead, the report said.

Carrillo was determined to be the primary aggressor in the incident and was detained in handcuffs. A records check confirmed he had two prior convictions for domestic battery in the last seven years, resulting in a third offense, which is a felony.

He was transported to the Carson City Jail without incident and booked. Bail: $15,000.

In other arrests:
— A second domestic battery arrest was made on a 35 year-old Carson City man Saturday morning at 3:24 a.m. in the 300 block of South Carson Meadows after law enforcement was called to a residence on report of battery possibly involving a firearm, a Carson City Sheriff's deputy reported.

Sheriff's deputies were notified by Carson City Dispatch that the suspect had access to firearms, but did not use them against the RP. They were further advised the suspect had been contacted by officers on an earlier shift and had refused to surrender his firearms to the Sheriff's Office for safe keeping, the arrest report said.

Once arrived at the scene, deputies requested through Carson City Dispatch that the RP step out of the residence and remove herself from the situation.

As the woman left the residence, she was observed crying and appeared frightened. "I can't believe he would do this," she was heard saying multiple times.

Law enforcement then made contact with the suspect, who was observed standing on his upstairs balcony without a shirt on and facing the street, the report said.

The suspect identified himself to deputies and was verbally cooperative with their instructions to remain on the balcony and not go inside of the residence. He reported to officers that he had three loaded firearms inside, the report said.

Once a deputy was at his locked front door, then the suspect was given instructions to walk inside directly to the front door and open it for the officer. When the front door opened, the deputy then instructed him to walk out into the hallway with his hands raised, the report said.

He did as instructed, exiting the residence to the outside, where he then laid down on his stomach. The suspect was detained in handcuffs while law enforcement cleared the apartment and secured the area for safety, the report said.

In a Mirandized interview, the suspect agreed to speak with deputies at the scene, reporting that he and the female RP had gotten into an argument over him talking to another woman.

He further stated that the woman had kids come to the apartment with guns in an attempt to threaten and scare him. During the interview, the suspect was observed to be sweating profusely and had trouble slowing down his breathing. He was observed to have open sores all over his body, the report said.

The suspect continued talking with deputies, stating he was concerned about the kids with guns and was listening for people that he thought were downstairs. He told deputies he had slapped the woman with an open hand across the left side of her face.

Upon speaking with the female RP, she reported that the suspect had been acting spastic for a few days and hadn't slept in more than four days. She said the suspect had placed a plug on his person and began to defecate on the bed next to her. The victim stated that when she tried to stop him, he slapped her across the left side of her face with an open hand.

The suspect was taken into custody for misdemeanor first-offense domestic battery and transported to the Carson City Jail for booking without incident. Bail: $3,137.

— A 34 year-old Carson City woman was arrested Saturday morning at 2:20 a.m. in the area of East William Street and Rand Avenue on an outside misdemeanor bench warrant, a Carson City Sheriff's deputy reported.

According to the report, a Sheriff's deputy on patrol observed a vehicle in front of him roll through a red traffic light and turned right. A traffic stop was then conducted and contact made with the driver and two other occupants, all of whom were identified and run through Carson City Dispatch on records checks.

Dispatch advised that one of the passengers had a confirmed active arrest warrant for misdemeanor failure to appear issued by Sparks Municipal Court, the report said.

The female suspect was asked to exit the vehicle and she was placed into custody with handcuffs before being transported to the Carson City Jail for booking. Bail: $520.

— A 27 year-old Carson City man was arrested late Friday night at 11:46 p.m. in the area of South Carson and Rhodes streets for multiple misdemeanor offense, a Carson City Sheriff's deputy reported, including driving with a suspended license and three active bench warrants.

According to the report, a traffic stop was made on a white Lexus sedan that had shown expired registration. The suspect driver's license was confirmed suspended by Carson City Dispatch, which further advised of three outstanding arrest warrants: One out of East Fork Township in Douglas County for contempt, and two issued by Carson City Justice Court.

The Carson City warrants were issued for misdemeanor contempt and failure to obey a citation, the report said.

The suspect was taken into custody at that point and transported to the Carson City Jail for booking. Bail: $1,557.
