Cops, cars and burgers at the Max Casino Saturday
Cars and burgers were the draw Saturday at the Max Casino parking lot in Carson City, where law enforcement officers with the Nevada Department of Corrections fed hungry car enthusiasts at the second annual Cops and Burgers fundraiser for Special Olympics Nevada.
The United Blood Services Blood Mobile was also on site for a blood drive.
The car show was open to hot rods and classic cars. Plenty of chrome and custom paint dressed the Max Casino parking lot on Saturday, too.
The event raised $1,508 for Special Olympics Nevada, said one of the event's organizer, David Sorensen.
All proceeds directly benefited Special Olympics Nevada, which provides free year-round sports competitions, educational programs and health resources to more than 3,000 children and adults with intellectual disabilities in Nevada.
