Carson City sheriff's arrest log for July 14-15
The following arrests were made July 14-15, 2014 by Carson City sheriff’s deputies. Those arrested and facing charges are innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
A 31-year-old Carson City man was booked Tuesday into Carson City jail on a gross misdemeanor warrant charge of tampering with a motor vehicle. The warrant was issued out of Carson City Justice Court on July 7, 2014. Bail: $2,500.
— A 63-year-old Carson City man was arrested Tuesday, 9:48 p.m. in the area of East Washington Street and North Plaza on a misdemeanor warrant charge of contempt of court. Bail: $1,000.
— A 53-year-old Carson City man was booked into jail Tuesday on a misdemeanor failure to appear warrant issued April 21, 2014 out of East Fork Township Court. Bail: $688.
— A 49-year-old Carson City man was arrested Tuesday, 12:55 p.m. in the 500 block of East William Street on misdemeanor warrant charges of operating a vehicle with expired registration and no proof of insurance. The warrants were issued in August 2012. Bail: $1,034.
July 14 arrests
— A 58-year-old Carson City woman, Terry McMullen, was arrested Monday, 12:56 p.m. in the 2200 block of East Long Street on a felony charge of possessing a dangerous drug without a prescription and misdemeanor battery.
Officers responded to the 1700 block of Russell Way for a report of a battery. Officers were provided access to video in which McMullen allegedly struck a woman in the hand after being told to leave, the arrest report states. When officers spoke with McMullen, she said the woman assaulted her. Officers informed the woman of the video. While being booked into jail, officers found a bottle of morphine without a prescription in the woman’s purse, according to the arrest report. Bail: $3,637.
— A 25-year-old Carson City woman, Tiffany Rampley, was arrested Monday, 11:45 a.m. in the 1500 block of East Fifth Street on a felony charge of giving officers false identification to avoid prosecution, and two misdemeanor charges of bail condition violations.
According to the arrest report, officers responded to the area of Saliman and Como streets to serve a warrant on Rampley.
Upon arrival the officer observed the woman walk into a liquor store. The officer made contact with the woman, who provided a different name. A records check was done through dispatch who informed the deputy that the name did not have any active warrants. The officer asked for tattoo descriptors of the woman, and confirmed she was the suspect. Bail: $11,000.
— A 31-year-old Carson City woman was arrested Monday, 8:41 p.m. in the area of south Curry and Koontz Lane on suspicion of DUI. According to the arrest report, sheriff’s deputies were advised of a possible DUI driver. The vehicle was stopped and a deputy made contact with the driver who admitted to drinking three Bud Light beers and two shots of Southern Comfort, the arrest report states.
The woman was asked to do a series of field sobriety tests but was unable to do them as demonstrated. She submitted to a preliminary breath test which showed a partial result of .197. Bail: $1,137.
