Carson City's 21st annual Taste of Downtown tickets go on sale
Tickets are on sale now for Carson City's culinary event of the year, the 21st annual Taste of Downtown, June 21 in Carson City.
More than 40 restaurants and nine bands are participating in this signature event that spans 13 blocks and is the major fundraiser for Advocates to End Domestic Violence. Tasting begins at 5:30 p.m. and continuing until 9 p.m. Live bands will be located throughout downtown with music playing until midnight.
There are 2,000 tickets available and they do sell fast. You can purchase tickets at Classy Seconds Thrift Shop, 411 Hot Springs Road; Purple Avocado, 904 N. Curry, at the Advocates' office, by phone with a credit or debit, 883-7654, or online through the Taste of Downtown website.
Tickets are $40 per person or $45 the night of the event. Go here for a list of restaurants that have signed on and here for the bands that will perform.
The popular community event stretches between 13 downtown blocks of historic Carson City, from Telegraph Square to Tenth Street. A mix of restaurants serving out of their own downtown sites as well as restaurants from outside the downtown area will be serving their faire from locations set-up on the streets with live bands scattered in between. Nowhere else can you find such a great collection of culinary delights from some of the area's best restaurants. Downtown shops and galleries will be open and offering raffles as well as showcasing their merchandise.
