Second suspect in Carson City burglary, credit card fraud investigation now in custody
A second suspect who was identified in a number of vehicle burglaries and credit card fraud earlier this month in Carson City was arrested overnight in Lyon County, a Carson City Sheriff's Office detective said.
Richard "Ricky" Jager was wanted as a probation absconder with the State of Nevada Department of Public Safety Division of Parole and Probation. He also now faces felony burglary and credit card fraud charges.
He was arrested in Silver Springs during a traffic stop, said CCSO Detective Sam Hatley. A second suspect, Stephen Barns, was arrested by Lyon County Sheriffs Office in the late afternoon on Thursday, May 23 on Thorne Avenue in Fernley. Go here for the story.
On May 2 several vehicle burglaries were reported in the Shultz Ranch subdivision in south Carson City. The suspects appeared on surveillance cameras using credit cards that were stolen during the burglaries.
