Carson City arrests: Man jailed for suspicion of lewdness with a child
A 23-year-old Carson City man was arrested early Thursday for suspicion of lewdness with a child under the age of 16.
Alexander Zachary Bohanec, was taken into custody at 12:11 a.m. at a residence in the area of 20 College Parkway. According to the arrest report, the alleged incident was witnessed by two people.
Both told investigating officers about an incident involving the male suspect and the victim. Officers learned the child had allegedly been touched by the suspect inappropriately.
The man for arrested suspicion of the crime. Bail: $100,000.
In other arrests:
— A 23-year-old woman was arrested early Thursday in the 200 block of Rawhide for suspicion of battery and a 35-year-old Carson City woman was booked for failure to yield and driving to fast for conditions.
Deputies learned of an incident involving a fight earlier with another subject and that both women left the area in a vehicle, that officers located speeding away without headlights and was attempting to elude, the report states. Bail for the 23-year-old woman, $1,137. Bail for the 35-year-old, $749.
— A 41-year-old Carson City man was arrested for suspicion of DUI second offense, driving on a suspended registration, no proof of insurance and open container.
According to the arrest report, deputies were called to the area of Northgate and Hot Springs in reference to a possible domestic dispute. Deputies located a suspect vehicle, and made contact with the driver, who showed signs of possible impairment. The man became uncooperative, refused to submit to standardized field sobriety tests and refused a consent to a breath or blood test. A search warrant was granted by a Carson City judge for a blood draw.
Officers learned he entered guilty plea in court in 2018 for DUI, the report states. Bail: $2,178.
— A 37-year-old Carson City woman was arrested Tuesday in the 2700 block of Highway 50 east for suspicion of DUI. The woman showed signs of impairment on standardized field sobriety tests and provided a preliminary breath test of .124. Bail: $1,137.
