Carson City deputies make warrant, trespassing arrests
A 33-year-old Carson City Jail inmate who was set for release on local charges was booked Tuesday for a felony fugitive from justice warrant out of California, a Carson City sheriff’s deputy said.
Anthony Ross, listed as a transient, was being held without bail awaiting extradition for the parole violation warrant issued in a California superior court.
In other arrests:
— A 36-year-old Carson City man was arrested Tuesday, 4:59 p.m. in the 1300 block of North Edmonds for a misdemeanor failure to appear, contempt of court warrant, driving on a revoked license, suspended registration, no proof of insurance and lack of proper child restraints.
According to the arrest report a deputy did a routine registration check of a vehicle that returned suspended. A traffic stop was made. The man told deputies he did not have a valid license and could not provide registration, or proof of insurance.
The man’s children, including a 5-year-old son, were in the vehicle. There wasn’t any child safety restraint for the 5-year-old. The man was advised of the warrant for his arrest and was placed into custody. The children were released to family members. Bail: $6,598.
— A 70-year-old Carson City man was booked Tuesday, 4:24 a.m. for suspicion of trespassing, according to a Carson City sheriff’s deputy. According to the arrest report, the man was trespassed from a casino in the 500 block of North Carson Street after he was disrupting patrons.
The man refused to leave the property and was verbally uncooperative with deputies, saying “don’t touch me or you’ll get hurt,” the arrest report states. Bail: $242.
— A 43-year-old Reno man was booked into Carson City Jail on Tuesday for a misdemeanor violation of conditions warrant issued Nov. 14, 2017 out of Carson City Justice Court. Bail: $1,000.
