Local Canine Recovery Center: “Fall for CRCS”- A Big Reveal That Will Impact Northern Nevada
Reno, Nevada – On Saturday, October 25th, at the Atlantis Resort and Casino, located at 3800 S. Virginia Street, Reno, NV, 89502, CRCS, a local canine recovery center, is revealing their plans to build a campus in Northern Nevada. The event titled “Fall for CRCS” is the launch of a 4 year long campaign to raise $1,000,000.00 to complete the purchase and renovations to a 5.2 acre parcel and 12,000 sq ft of interior space that CRCS calls home. There are currently no programs of its kind in Nevada. The completion of the campus will have a big impact on local shelters and rescue groups by helping increase save rates in the shelter system and animal control agencies, reduce return rates, and provide much needed services for adopters of rescue dogs needing assistance.
CRCS is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to helping dogs recover from trauma such as abuse, neglect, long term confinement, and other special cases.
CRCS provides rescue, recovery, socialization, training, and placement for dogs that shelters and rescue organizations cannot place.
“As a support system to rescues and shelters in and around our community, CRCS is building a campus, the only one of it’s kind, right here in Northern Nevada. The goal is to provide much needed services to animal welfare organizations and the community in a way never done before.” said Kristen Ivey, founder of CRCS. “Our dogs are special, they have stories to tell about beating the odds, overcoming very tramatic experiences, and finally triumph when they reach the end of their time with us. It’s time to stop labeling and euthanizing the less fortunate animals in our communities and start helping.”
