DeBug to host Sept. 19 free community shred day
DeBug Computers of Carson City and Carson Valley is helping the community to stay cyber-safe at no charge. This is your opportunity to help minimize the chance of identity and personal information theft. DeBug offers this every year as a way of increasing identity theft awareness and providing a no-cost solution to our community.
The shred day event is set for Saturday, Sept. 19. In addition, all shredded paper is completely recycled, along with your old computers and technology items (sorry, no CRT monitors or TVs can be accepted). We will take shredding and recycling items as long as space allows, first come first served.
In Carson City the event is from 10 a.m. to noon at 1817 North Stewart Street, No. 30. Call 775-883-3630. The event is also at DeBug in Minden, from 1 to 3 p.m. at 1560 U.S. Highway 395, No. C. Call 775-782-0303.
The safety of our community is our highest priority. We will be following strict procedures.
How it works:
When you pull into our parking lot please park. We will process you in order of arrival.
One of our staff, in PPE, will come up to your car window to sign you in. Once it is your turn, we will unload your vehicle for you and you can be on your way!
We appreciate your understanding as we navigate this year's shred event! We look forward to seeing you to help keep your personal information safe.
