Letters carriers unite for Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive to benefit FISH, Ron Wood center
On Saturday, May 13, letter carriers all over the country will be collecting food for the annual Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive. This year marks the 25th anniversary of the largest one day food drive in the nation. Letter carriers have collected over one billion pounds of food since the first food drive in 1998.
Food banks work hard all year to make sure citizens in our community do not go hungry. Donations collected during the winter holidays help ensure that no one goes away empty handed, but by spring time the shelves have more bare space than food.
The Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive helps restock those shelves so that our local partners, FISH and The Ron Wood Center, can continue to serve those in need in our community.
It is easy to participate! Just leave your donation of non perishable food at your mail box on Saturday May 13. That’s it! We do the rest! Carson City is filled with caring and generous people who will help make this food drive the most successful yet. Let’s Stamp Out Hunger together!
