Carson City Parks and Recreation to celebrate Arbor Day 2019 with Mills Park tree planting
Carson City will mark its 25th year of being a Tree City USA member by hosting a tree planting ceremony at Mills Park on Friday, April 26.
The Carson City Parks, Recreation and Open Space department welcomes all community members to celebrate with us as we plant a new tree in Mills Park and read Mayor Bob Crowell's proclamation. The event runs from 4 to 5:30 p.m.
An educational activity about the importance of trees will follow the ceremony. The planting and the lesson will mainly be for the Before and After School Program kids, but the public is more than welcome to watch and learn as well.
