Girls on the Run Sierras to Launch Camp GOTR in Carson City

We teach lessons about the importance of friendship, kindness and emotional intelligence, while creatively integrating physical activity.
Camp GOTR is coming to Carson City August 7-11 for girls ages 8-12. This will be a half day from 8am to noon.
Carson City seeks community partners, volunteers and donations for 2023 Kids to Parks Day

The Carson City Park Rangers are seeking community organizations to participate in the event and offer an outdoor activity for kids and families to enjoy. This will be a great opportunity to advertise and engage with the public.

Dayton Valley Dog Park pet blessing, chili tasting fundraiser this Saturday

Pastor Heather from CenterPoint Church, will be giving a pet blessing. This will be followed by a chili tasting. Small bowl of chili is $5 and a large bowl of chili is $10. All proceeds go to the dog park.

Nashville Social Club hopes to reschedule, staff wrote in a note to Facebook followers.

Retired history curator Robert Nylen granted Emeritus status by Nevada State Museum

“This is such an honor,” Nylen said. “I couldn’t have even imagined an honor like this being given to me.”
