(WAVE) is eager to have the public attend the dedication ceremony for the new Veterans Appreciation Monument Oct 6 at noon. The monument honors the service and sacrifice of living and deceased veterans in Douglas County. It has been erected in front of the old courthouse on Eighth St. in Minden. WAVE has been working for over a year with county commissioners, local businesses and a host of volunteers to create the monument.
