Carson City Fire Department, sheriff's deputies and the Nevada Highway Patrol were called early Monday evening to a vehicle rollover near Spooner Junction.

A 31-year-old Carson City woman was arrested Sunday for suspicion of felony child abuse/neglect (simple assault) and misdemeanor suspicion of domestic battery, according to a sheriff's deputy booking report.

SNC crews are preparing the roundabout installment phase of the South Carson Street project. Stewart Street in Carson City will be closed to southbound traffic with detours at Little to Roop to Fairview, the closure will remain all week. Stewart Street will be open to northbound traffic only.

A 37-year-old transient man was arrested in the 1000 block of S. Carson Street for two felony Priority 5 Probation Violation warrants, issued out of Carson City and Lyon County District Court.

According to the report, Bryant Bennett Jayne was arrested after deputies were dispatched to a local motel on a report of a man throwing orange road cones across South Carson Street and yelling at the reporting party.

Two men were arrested Wednesday on multiple drug charges including trafficking and conspiracy, according to a Carson City Sheriff's Office Special Enforcement Team report.

Carson City Public Works will be performing water system adjustments the morning of Thursday, May 14. There is potential for temporary periods of discolored water in the South Carson Street, Curry Street area south of 10th Street and north of Colorado Street as well as in Lake Glen Manor.

Carson City sheriff's deputies and the Nevada Highway Patrol were called Monday afternoon to a vehicle crash in the 5600 block of South Carson Street near Old Clear Creek Road.

Carson City Sheriff's Office investigators are asking for the public's help in identifying two people suspected of stealing merchandise from a store in the 1400 block of South Carson Street.

Carson City Fire Department responded early Wednesday evening to a reported gas leak at a South Carson Street grocery store. The gas smell was determined to be coming from a semi-truck that had blown a tire.

The Nevada Department of Transportation is alerting drivers and organizations to prepare for an upcoming change to exit numbers on Interstate 580 between the Reno spaghetti bowl and northern Carson City.

By noon Wednesday, all "non-essential" businesses in Nevada were required to shut down by state decree in an effort to stop the spread of COVID-19.
