Carson City deputies make warrant arrest after report of man throwing orange cones across Carson Street
A 37-year-old transient man was arrested in the 1000 block of S. Carson Street for two felony Priority 5 Probation Violation warrants, issued out of Carson City and Lyon County District Court.
According to the report, Bryant Bennett Jayne was arrested after deputies were dispatched to a local motel on a report of a man throwing orange road cones across South Carson Street and yelling at the reporting party.
Upon arrival, deputies were unable to make contact with the man that was throwing the cones. Deputies were getting ready to leave when they noticed a man located in a vehicle on the south side of the parking lot open the passenger door and quickly close it.
Deputies believed the man was going to attempt to make contact, and deputies knocked on the passenger door window. The man opened the door and deputies could see it was Bryant Jayne.
Deputies asked Jayne to identify himself and he refused, according to the report. After asking several additional times he finally complied. He said he didn’t answer because he knew he had warrants for his arrest.
He was taken into custody on two warrants. One was issued out of the Carson City District Court for battery on a protected person. The second was issued out of Lyon County District Court for use of credit/debit card without consent of the owner.
No bail.

Daniel James Klay was taken into custody without incident.
No bail.
— A 39-year-old Stagecoach man was transported to the Carson City Jail from the Lyon County Jail on a confirmed Carson Township Justice Court warrant for contempt of court.
He was also arrested on a failure to appear traffic warrant out of Washoe County.
