A man suffered third degree burns following a fire Sunday at a Gardnerville apartment that is believed to have started from an illicit butane hash oil extraction process, according to the Douglas County Sheriff's Office.

Carson City emergency crews respond to vehicle crash involving 10-year-old pedestrian

UPDATE 3:26PM: The juvenile who was struck in a crosswalk Thursday afternoon was taken by ambulance to the hospital. The boy was conscious and alert suffering some minor injuries, said Carson City Sheriff's Office Sgt. Bill Richards. The cause of the accident is under investigation.

Around two dozen runners and walkers remembered the victims of a mass shooting in Carson City that happened six years ago Wednesday in which five people died, including three Nevada National Guardsmen.

Six years ago, shots rang out and Carson City was thrust into the middle of a tragedy. Four people died in the IHOP shooting, three of them National Guard members. CARSON CITY — The Nevada Guard is set to host a memorial run/walk on Wednesday, Sept. 6, to commemorate the victims of the International House of Pancakes shooting that occurred in 2011.

Carson City emergency personnel respond to stabbing victim on East William Street

UPDATE SUNDAY, 9:10AM: A man who was stabbed Saturday evening and sustained a moderate to serious knife wound was flown to the trauma ward at a Reno hospital. His condition is unknown at this time. He is expected to live. It is unknown at this time if he remains in the hospital. No arrests have been made and no charges have been filed, said Carson City Sheriff's Office Sgt. Nate Brehm. The matter remains under investigation.
