The "Best of Cruise" at last week's Carson City Thursday Night Cruise at Wingstop on South Carson Street went to Ray with his 1940 Ford Deluxe 4 door sedan. Organizers note there were 85 cars and trucks participating in the June 27, 2019 vehicle cruise.

Capitol City Poker Run bicycle ride to benefit Muscle Powered

Capitol City Poker Run to benefit Muscle Powered will take place this Saturday, July 6 in Carson City. This is a bicycle “poker" ride that will start at Silver Strike CrossFit and will ride throughout Carson City.

All proceeds benefit Muscle Powered. Best Poker hand at the end of the ride will win a bike from the Bike Smith. Raffle prizes and Grand Prize to be announced at Silver Strike CrossFit where a good truck will also be present.

Carson City Library's inflatable planetarium canceled, will be be rescheduled

UPDATE SUNDAY, JUNE 23: The Sky Dome Planetarium, which was planned as part of the Carson City Library’s Summer Learning Challenge, is canceled. The inflatable, 16-by-11-foot planetarium, was scheduled for Monday, but has been postponed by the host company. The planetarium will be rescheduled for a later date.
