Children's Museum closed for maintenance, will reopen Friday

This year’s hunt focuses on the history and culture of the capital city. The Commission crafted the hunt to be an event the family can do together.
Boys and Girls Club to raffle Burning Man tickets at Kentucky Derby Fundraiser Saturday

Kentucky Derby Days 2019 will kick off at the Martin Hotel and Basque Restaurant, located at 308 N. Curry Street, at 2:30 p.m. and will run until 6 p.m.
All proceeds of the event will go to the Boys and Girls Club of Western Nevada, located in Carson City.

Spaghetti Fundraiser for David Mickelsen's Kidney transplant

We still need to do a lot of fundraising, so we plan to have a spaghetti dinner on Saturday, May 18 from 5 to 8 p.m. at Espolon's Grill in Mound House. The tickets are $12 each and all the proceeds go to David to cover some of his expenses for his transplant. Your ticket will give you spaghetti, meatballs, salad and garlic bread. The special event train leaves the Eastgate Depot in Carson City at 10 a.m. and arrives in Virginia City at approximately 11:30 a.m. The train arrives back in Carson City before 4:30 p.m. Tickets are pre-sold, and guests are asked to be at the Eastgate Depot by 9:30 a.m.
