JoAnne Skelly: Is it legal to catch rainwater in Nevada?

My friend Marie was told recently it was illegal to harvest rainwater in Nevada. She was referring to putting large barrels under gutter downspouts to catch and store water running off a roof. Many people have done this for years, but actually it was illegal in Nevada until 2017.

Carson City Fire Department and sheriff's deputies were called to a motorcycle accident shortly before 5 p.m. on Saturday near the Clearview bridge on I-580.

Senator Square: Carson High School's Carneta yearbook staff have successful year

As the school year comes to an end, the 2018-2019 Carneta yearbook staff can finally slow down and take a breath. At the end of the week before Spring Break, at 8:30 p.m., the final pages were submitted, and the book was officially finished. After months of interviewing, photographing, and editing, the book is currently being printed by Walsworth Publishing Co., in Marceline, Kansas.

Teenagers aren't joining the workforce, and Carson City pool programs are suffering

Summer is a time for ice cream, bike rides, carnivals, and of course, swimming. However, there is a shortage of lifeguards nationwide so extreme that pool programs are in jeopardy of shutting down.
